Jon McDuffie is a 2017 OF/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Calabash, NC who attends West Brunswick HS. Medium-large frame with lean, well-proportioned, athletic build. Ran a 7.02 second 60-yard dash. Worked out in the outfield during defensive drills. Displayed loose, fluid arm with good arm speed and arm strength, clocked at up to 85 mph during workouts. Throws have good carry, were accurate to bases. May have potential off of the mound as well. Right handed hitter, deeper hand set with wide feet, spread base. Swings hard, shows some hand quickness and good strength in wrists. Uses a middle of the field approach, maintains a level, line-drive swing plane. Flashes ability to handle the barrel and sting line drives with some carry into the gaps. Good tools to work with on both sides of the ball. Good student.
