Chad Germain is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Villa Park. Large frame with long, lean build and good physical projection. Medium-length arm action up to 3/4 slot, slight crossfire in delivery, FB worked 85-88 with good arm side run and plane. Clean arm action with quality arm speed. Good extension out in front with extended release. Shows solid command and consistently in the zone with all 3 pitches. Showed slider in low 70's with 10/4 shape and good, projectable spin. Slider flashes bat-missing capabilities. Also threw changeup with good deception of out hand, excellent velocity differential from FB, and some fading action on it. Effective pitch against left-handed hitters. Named to 2015 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
