Owen Boone is a 2017 LHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic HS. Long lean projectable build with broad shoulders. Has room to fill out and add strength. Short and quick arm action, hides ball well in back to his 3/4 arm slot. Lands online to target. Fastball is true and firm out of hand with slight arm side run. Repeats delivery well, gets on top at release point and gets down hill with fastball. Can pitch to both sides of plate, but really commands arm side well. Mixed in 1/7 with solid feel. Spotted curveball well, had idea how to pitch with 3 pitch mix as he also showed a change up. Controlled run game with solid left handed pick off move. Velocity projects with more lower half and continuing to get stronger. Outstanding student.
