Hunter Tinsley is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Riverdale HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with more to come. Rotational upper half delivery, compact arm action, 3/4's arm slot, simple repeatable pitching mechanics. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight but thrown to spots and works both sides of the plate. Short breaking slider gets off hitter's barrels, has a feel for his change up. Works quickly and fills up the zone while changing speeds, can be successful hitting spots. Right handed hitter, big leg lift trigger throws off timing, rotational swing from a deep load, line drive swing plane, mid to opposite field contact. Showed good athleticism and some lateral range in the infield, gets some carry on his throws. Showed a hustling team oriented attitude that was noted by the PG staff. Good student.
