Tom Kolar is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Mendota Heights, MN who attends St Thomas Academy HS. Slender young build, plenty of room to get stronger. 7.50 runner, charges the ball hard in the outfield, can improve footwork throwing, developing arm strength with some on line carry. Right handed hitter, spread stance, deep hand load creates length, upper half rotational swing, handles the barrel well, spray line drive contact. Also pitched, drifting delivery with a compact arm action, low effort release. Fastball to 73 mph with arm side running action, soft short curveball. Good student.
