Javier Martinez is a 2015 SS/C with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Gurabo, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Medium, athletic, lean build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.15 60 yard dash. Makes consistent, on the bag throws from behind the plate. Has sound catching actions and a strong throwing arm with carry. His feet work well and gets rid of the ball quick. Flashes good receiving skills. Bats right-handed, works from a wide setup and carries his hands high. Flashes good bat speed and extension out front. Shows off good lift and ball jumps well off his bat. Good student.
