Ashton Raines is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Wallingford, PA who attends Strath Haven. Tall, strongly built, durable pitcher's frame. Ran a 7.81 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and stays online with his delivery. Shows good arm speed and a medium length arm circle. Works at 81-83 mph with his fastball and locates effectively. Mixes his 72 mph curveball well with good 10-4 break. Also flashes a 71 mph changeup and keeps his arm speed up. More velocity on the way. Moves well in the infield and throws have carry across the diamond. Bats right-handed, works from a wide base and carries his hands high. Drives the ball to the middle of the field and flashes good bat speed. Looks to lift. Good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
