Mitch Donofrio is a 2018 SS with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Nokomis, FL who attends Venice Senior HS. Donofrio has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he showed solid actions on the infield with good arm strength up to 84 MPH. He has clean transfers and release. and moves to the baseball well. At the plate, Donofrio starts with a wide base and a slightly crouched stance. He has a simple swing and he has quick hands to the baseball. He has easy bat speed and has strong wrists at contact. Donofrio gets good extension in his swing and showed good feel for the barrel. He made consistent hard contact and drove the baseball with authority. He has good hitting tools the project. Very good student, named to Top Prospect Team.
