Reece Easterling is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from College Station, TX who attends College Station HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.30 60-yard dash. Primary infielder, takes short strides moving towards the ball, has twitch to actions and fields the ball cleanly, can make accurate throws from multiple arm slots, solid present arm strength with carry. Similar big arm strength from the outfield, top throw of 88 mph, full and fluid arm action, fields the ball out front, gets on top of ball and generates nice extension, comes out cleanly with very good accuracy. Switch-hitter, begins with an open stance from the left side, full swing coming through the zone with a contact approach at the plate, gets the barrel through the zone and shows a feel for it too. Open stance from the right side with a high knee kick trigger, similar swing through the zone as from the left side, bat speed will continue to develop, works the middle of the field when on time with weight shift. Named to South Uncommitted Top Prospect List.
