Quentin Longrie is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Mission Viejo, CA who attends J Serra HS. Strong mature physical build especially in the lower half. Works from the stretch, cross body/cross fire delivery, creates angle to the plate with a mid 3/4's and lower release point, some effort at release. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight, tends to throw fastball to the glove side and had better command to right handed hitters. Big breaking sweeping curveball with some sharpness, will lower slot even further on curveball. Shows some feel for change up. Can use his lower half more to generate power and velocity. Deceptive pitching style. Good student, verbal commitment to Southern California.
