Blake Allen is a 2014 RHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Anderson HS. Strong athletic build, especially in the lower half. High leg raise delivery, gets squared up and directional to the plate well, clean arm out front, high 3/4's arm slot. Mid-80's fastball, topped at 86 mph, good arm side running action at times. Power mid-70's curveball with hard spin and bite and bit 11-5 depth when on top, will lower release point at times on curveball for a flatter sweeping break. Two quality present pitches and curveball can be a strikeout pitch with better command/consistency. Outstanding student with no present college commitment.
