Isander Perez is a 2016 RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Colegio Santa Gema. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill out with additional strength. Primary righthanded pitcher, works with a simple and steady tempo'd delivery with a leg raise up to belt. Works from a tight three-quarters arm slot with late acceleration towards the plate that helps generate good and late running life to fastball. Able to challenge up in zone, fastball topped at 86 mph. Changeup is best pitch at present, ideal arm speed with big and late sinking life with hard dive to bottom of zone at 78 mph, swing and miss offering. Two different breaking balls, showed better command of curveball with tight spin at 70 mph, occasionally under slider at 74 mph. Competed well and mixed frequently. Named to Caribbean Top Prospect List.
