Gonzalo U Serrano is a 2018 RHP/ with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Gurabo, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Acad.. Medium frame with broad shoulders and a solid build. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Quick tempo to balance and stays tall on back side at gathers. Works to the plate with drop and drive actions creating solid in line momentum to the plate. Hides baseball well at take back with a medium arm circle and released from a high three-quarters to near over top arm slot. Fastball generated solid downward angle through the zone with some cutting action to glove side in the mid 70's, topped at 77 miles per hour. Showed good feel for a curveball offering that had tight spin with solid depth in the mid 60's. Good composure while on the mound with a knowledge for pitching. Effectively stayed off barrels throughout each inning inducing weak, ground ball contact. Good student as well.
