Blake Charlton is a 2016 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from O'Fallon, MO who attends Christian Brothers College HS. Tall slope shouldered build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, tall upright stance, gets to front side early and looks to pull, has some strength and ball comes off the barrel well, aggressive swing approach. Good arm in the outfield, can improve routes and aggressiveness to the ball, can also play corner infield positions. Simple side step/leg raise delivery on the mound, stays balanced and over the rubber well, tight high 3/4's arm slot, solid overall mechanics. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, gets good sink and run and works low in the zone consistently. Shows tight spin and good bite on his curveball, got lots of swing/miss on curveballs out of the strike zone. Polished for a secondary pitcher. Good student.
