Jose Zabala is a 2016 C with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Thick mature build, good present strength. Right handed hitter, open stance, big hand drop load, closes but tends to fly open early with his front side, pull hitting approach, has good bat speed against inside half pitches but tends to reach on outside half and breaking balls, will have to get better direction to contact to take the next step. Wide bases receiving, full long arm action, some developing arm strength, 2.07 best pop time, 2.19 in game.
