Paul Arce is a 2007 MIF/3B with a 5'10'', 175 lb. frame from Guilford CT, who attends Hamden Hall. Arce has a medium frame with a nice build. Defensively, Arce glides to the ball and has good soft hands. He can really make picks when he has to. He has some upper body flex when fielding and his actions are solid. His arm strength is developing and he throws across the infield with effort. At the plate, Arce swings from a straight stance with a wide base. Arce starts with high hands and uses a short load to start his swing. He has a quiet approach in the box and has a nice level swing path to the baseball. Arce uses a contact hitter's approach and can hit the ball to all fields. His front arm is barred through his swing which allows him to get extension in his swing. His approach at the plate should allow him to hit for a high average at the next level. Arce is a good student.
