James Dupree is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Sayre. Large frame, well-proportioned, sturdy and athletic build. Looks the part on the mound. Simple, repeatable side-step delivery, maintains good balance throughout and lands online with good direction to the plate. Compact, quick arm-action, works to a higher 3/4's arm slot and generates good extension over frontside. Ran fastball up to 83 mph, shows some armside run and late life. Also mixes in breaking balls with distinct shape and tilt. Shows a low-70s offering with more slider break and a sweeping 10/4 shape to go along with a curveball in the upper-60s with varied 11/5 to 12/6 shape and more depth. Throws strikes and knows how to pitch and change eye levels. Good student. Named to Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
