Tyson Luna is a 2021 OF/LHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. John's. Large frame with projectable, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.38 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, leg lift trigger, can get tangled in timer, limited hand load, line drive swing plane, gets through with hips, executes whole-field approach. Worked out in the outfield, comes through the ball, has big arm talent, clocked up to 88 mph on throws with loose, whippy arm stroke. Also pitched, drop and drive downhill, lands slightly closed and creates crossfire, finishes over front side, 3/4 slot with angle, fastball worked 79-83 mph with good angle, shows changeup with some fade, mixed in breaker as well. Outstanding student.
