Justin Machado is a 2016 3B/RHP, MIF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Glenview, IL who attends Glenbrook South. Well built large frame with present strength throughout. Open stance and strides to a balanced even at plate. Loud movements pre swing. Repeats swing plane that produces loft. Shows present bat speed with power and creates solid backspin on balls hit to the gaps. BP approach was consistent with game approach attempting to drive ball to pull side gap. Swing projects with fluidity and future strength. Smooth, athletic actions to both sides in the infield with quality range. Surrounds ball well and creates direction drive on throws. Hands are soft with soild funneling actions. Creates online carry across infield with present arm strength, topped at 81 mph. Projects well up the middle. Also pitched showing a high energy 3/4 arm slot and creates a downhill plane. Attacked hitters with a fastball that shows some sink and heaviness when down in the zone. Fastball ranged from 79-80 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape with some depth to change speeds, command varied at times. Projects as an INF. Good student as well.
