Brice Johnson is a 2016 LHP with a 6-6 195 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Pine Creek HS. Extra tall and long frame, very nice physical projection. Nice directional pitching mechanics, 3/4's arm slot with a deep arm action in back, creates some downhill angle, repeats his mechanics well for a big young pitcher. Low 80's fastball, attacks aggressively with his fastball, mostly straight with occasional cut and can spot it to both sides of the plate. Nice change up with proper arm speed and release point and occasional fading action. Short slider that gets off barrels. Created lots of early count weak contact and had a solid outing. Should continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity, follow closely. Outstanding student.
