Alex Rodriguez is a 2015 RHP/MIF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Farmington, UT who attends Viewmont HS. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and long, lean limbs with room to fill out on frame. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws form a high three-quarter arm slot with a short and compact arm action in the back, hides the ball well. Works exclusively out of stretch, quick arm, gets on top of the ball and works down in zone, drifts towards first base at times. Ball comes out clean from hand, topped at 82 mph with fastball, showing occasional cutting life and projects with incorporation of lower half. Flashed an 11-5 curveball at 68 mph. Moves well in the infield, covers ground and gets in a good position to throw. Right-handed batter, starts with an upright stance. Upper body swing, pulls hands back at start and stay in during swing, line drive contact to all fields with a feel for opposite field. Good student.
