Blake Kaplan is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Sierra Vista High School. Large build and frame, strength, durable body, and room to continue to add strength. Primary right handed pitcher, online delivery, showed good arm speed, downhill action, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Showed ability to use lower half and drive down the mound generating extension. Fastball worked 81-85 mph with cut action and command of the pitch. Good tempo on the mound and fielded position well. Mixed in 11/5 shaped curveball with depth and ability to keep it low in the zone. Maintained arm speed well for 79 mph changeup with sink down in the zone. Named to Top Prospect List.
