Steven Wilson is a 2016 SS/2B, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Clearwater, FL who attends Countryside. Medium frame with lean, athletic build. Hits from wide base with high hands and back elbow, leg lift timing mechanism, very short to the ball with quick hands. Gets to front side a bit early and can get rotational at times; shows consistent line drive contact to the middle and pull fields. Has some pop that will get better with physical maturity. Moves well on feet in the infield, makes all the routing plays including the backhands, shows clean actions with good glove work. Strong arm across the infield, topping at 82 MPH on throws. Ran well, posting a 6.98 60 yard dash. Very good student.
