Layndon Carter is a 2019 OF/LHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Columbia, KY who attends Adair County High School. Smaller build with some height, skinny frame, good athlete, ran an above average sixty time of 7.39. A primary outfielder, short footwork, big crow hop, fields ball out in front, max effort. Offensively, high hand set, high back elbow, line drive swing plane, wide base, some quickness to the bat, swings with intent, settled into a nice rhythm. On the mound, quick tempo, high three-quarter arm slot, short arm circle and arm action, lower half drive. Good fastball command, fastball sat 75-77 mph, aggressive early in the count, good feel to the curveball with 12/6 shape, changes speeds well, strong on lefties, fields his position well, good at holding runners and controlling the running game. Good student.
