Peyton Holt is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Fort Smith, AR who attends Greenwood. Medium frame with some strength throughout and present athleticism. Ran a 6.85 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Fields the ball out front with a funnel to the chest. Smoothness to glovework especially when working to the backhand. Quick and clean exchanges able to stay compact and get on top of the ball. Strong and quick hands through with some arm strength to the bag topping out at 84 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a wider and slightly open stance to start. Keeps hands back with a short leg lift trigger for timing. Line drive plane through the zone showing feel for the barrel and making consistent barreled contact. Works the pull side gap as well as up the middle of the field. Stays direct to the ball while swinging with intent to impact with authority. Good student as well. Named to the 2019 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Louisiana-Latayette.
