2015 Florida Top Prospect Showcase
Anthony Gallicchio is a 2016 OF/ with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Wellington, FL who attends Palm Beach Central HS. Large, long frame, very lean build, plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Left handed hitter, high back elbow with higher hands set. Loose, fluid swing, sweepy path with solid feel for using the barrel, flashes some bat speed. When squared shows solid carry and jump to the pullside, has ability and comfort in using the opposite field. Moves well to the ball in the outfield, bends well and has solid body control. Could stand to use more lower half in throwing mechanics, shows solid arm strength and accuracy on throws to bases from the outfield in defensive drills. Good student.
