Henry Santiago is a 2017 RHP/IF/C with a 5-11 193 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends University HS. Strong and thick athletic build, fairly mature phsically. Works from the stretch, on line and balanced delivery, long and smooth arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, clean well paced delivery, uses his strong lower half well with good hip rotation and drive to the plate. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, gets good arm side running action, will overthrow at times but has command and can spot the ball when under control. Slurve type breaking ball with some 11/5 depth at times, tends to slow arm/body and tip the pitch. Good fielder off the mound. Right handed hitter, uphill swing with a high finished, limited shift through contact, flashes some strength but will have to improve swing plane. Played both infield and catcher, shows his arm strength well behind the plate. Can keep improving on the mound with improvement in his breaking ball.
