Christian McKelvey is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-9 146 lb. frame from Germantown, WI who attends Germantown. Small, athletic frame. Even stance and shows balance at the plate. Has some hand quickness and bat speed with a line drive swing plane. Likes to let the ball travel deeper into zone and lower half actions are a little later, but inside bat path and bat speed allows for consistent barrel contact to all fields. Shows some gap power when contact is out if front. Shows a long, loose 3/4 arm action from the infield. Has range to both sides with solid funneling actions around the baseball. Momentum stays through the ball well with clean exchanges. Ball shows nice online carry with accuracy and solid present arm strength. Projects to be a solid MIF.
