Chance Denson is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Collinsville, MS who attends West Lauderdale HS. Big and strong athletic build. Medium effort delivery, stays on line well, hard front side at release he doesn't always get over well. Power fastball, topped out at 94 mph, fastball mostly straight, can get it to both sides of the plate but tends to pitch flat and up in the zone due to his front side mechanics. Hand position slider with a slurve type sweeping break. Developing change up. Good athlete with a big arm who throws strikes, improvement in his secondary pitches will be the next step in his development. Very good student.
