Drew Wilson is a 2020 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Pell City, AL who attends Pell City. Extra large and physical frame. Ran a 7.77 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, sits back on the baseball fielding it out in front, comes through it well, takes a loose arm action into throws with nice turns towards second base, plenty of arm strength present topping out at 85 mph from first base. Secondary righthanded pitcher, extends well down the mound and can locate down in the zone, takes a long arm action at take back up to a high 3/4 arm slot, works quickly with a three pitch mix for strikes, fastball topped out at 84 mph, curveball and changeup are both still developing pitches with slurvy-type break and short fade respectively. Righthanded hitter, graded out best at the plate, takes a longer stride in with a long swing plane as well, good timing meeting the baseball out in front with plenty of strength, line drive swing plane with a similar approach. Good student. Named to 2019 Sunshine Gulf Coast Top Prospect List.
