Noah Blythe is a 2019 2B/3B, SS with a 5-9 162 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Tates Creek. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Projects for additional strength with continued physical maturity. Ran a 7.01 sixty yard dash. Primary second baseman, surrounds the baseball well with smooth fundamental footwork. Clean, fluid glove actions while funneling ground balls out front and to back hand. Extended arm circle at separation and releases from a compact arm action topping at 82 mph. Flashed very athletic actions while working through slow roller as well. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing athletic actions while closing on the baseball. Clean funneling glove work while working through the baseball with smooth glove to hand exchanges. Baseball comes out of hand cleanly from a compact arm action topping at 87 mph. Throws produced solid carry to the bag with accuracy. Right handed hitter with a spread, straight stance. Creates coil and slight wrap at load generating torque. Turns barrel well to contact with a mid-field approach. Barrel comes through the zone on a line drive plane with present bat speed and strength at contact. Baseball jumps off the barrel consistently with solid carry that splits the gaps. Repeats swing well with balance throughout. Good follow. Very good student. Named to 2016 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
