Austin Daman is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 5-10 167 lb. frame from Talking Rock, GA who attends Gilmer HS. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; plenty of projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.09 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, very abbreviated outing in this event. Works with long, extended arm stroke with quality arm speed to low three quarters slot. Arm has whip to it. Fastball worked 82-83 MPH with good arm side life; filled up the zone in quick outing. Sets up to hit from spread-out, slightly closed stance; hands set close to body, approach is to the middle and opposite fields. Linear swing plane, some success on a line up the middle. Worked out defensively in the outfield, gets behind the ball well and lines it up, works through it pretty well and shows impressive arm strength to target on throws, clocked up to 87 MPH. Very good student.
