Jake Pennington is a 2017 RHP/SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Hamilton, OH who attends Hamilton. Medium, young built with a lot of room to get stronger. Ran a 6.76 60 yard dash. Excellent athlete. Pitches from an over the top arm slot and stays consistently online with his delivery. Throws strikes with his fastball at 81 mph. Consistently around the zone with both pitches, including curveball. Shows 12-6 depth at 65 mph and stays down in the zone. Locates to his glove side. Flashes late run on his fastball. Also swung the bat, works from a wide base and stays on top of the plate. Covers the plate well and uses the whole field. Gets the ball out quickly on the infield and hands work well. Good student.
