Kevin Acosta is a 2016 C/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Daytona Beach, FL who attends Spruce Creek HS. Large frame, broad shoulders, sturdy, mature build with strength. Solid overall athlete, good footspeed, ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Looks the part behind the plate, solid deep crouch behind the plate, short measured steps and footwork, gains some ground on throws. Solid arm strength, popped a 1.97 in defensive drills. Large open setup, aggressive weight shift with toe tap and wrap to contact. Good bat speed, shows ability to whip the barrel through the zone, flashes big strength off of the barrel. At times can come out early and hit off of frontside. Flashes power, especially to the pullside. Good potential on both sides of the plate.
