Jake McCleskey is a 2016 MIF/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Sandy Springs, GA who attends Wesleyan. Medium, athletic frame with good physical projection remaining on body. Ran extremely well, posting an event-best 6.62 second 60 yard dash time. Hits with pronated leg lift into load, clean hand path with lofted swing plane, doesn't quite transfer weight fully into swing but still shows ability to square it consistently. Hands work well in swing, showed good ability to consistently hit line drives to all parts of the field with projectable gap-to-gap power. Worked out well in the infield, stays down well on the ball and fields cleanly. Active feet with clean footwork, fields out in front, transfers well and shows quick release with quality arm strength, topping out at 82 MPH across the infield. Named to 2015 Southeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
