Owen Lovell is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Vinemont, AL who attends Cullman HS. Very big and strong well proportioned athletic build, mature physically. 6.71 runner, left field profile defensively, makes soft accurate throws. Spread bent knee stance at the plate, very busy swing approach with multiple check points to go through before the barrel starts forward, has big strength in his swing but will have to simplify his timers to consistently handle next level stuff, showed good barrel control when timed up, has big power potential with adjustments. Has put up huge high school power numbers. Good student, verbal commitment to Alabama.
