Brock Mathis is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Fairfield, OH who attends Fairfield HS. Strong athletic build. Has good quickness behind the plate and shows his athleticism, feet work well shifting and throwing, gets rid of the ball quickly with fair arm strength when he's on top of the ball. Right handed hitter, wide base but has narrowed it up a bit, upper half rotational swing, has strength and some bat speed, gets extended out front and hits through the ball with some gap power, ball comes off the barrel well. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisville.
