Christopher Holcomb is a 2018 LHP with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Osterville, MA who attends The Cheshire Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build that projects very well, ideal frame for a pitcher. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins with a full hand path over head and a step back at start of delivery, gets tall on backside and shows nice fluidity to delivery, lands slightly closed with front foot. Full, quick, and loose arm action through the back working to a three-quarters arm slot with nice extension out front. Creates nice angle to fastball when working on top, consistent upper-80s fastball and topped out at 89 mph. Attacks hitters with fastball, short running life to pitch and shows ability miss bats at a steady rate, projects for more with additional lower half. Developing feel for breaking ball, 68 mph at present with short depth and occasional slurve shape. Shows comfort in throwing a changeup, turns it over well at 78 mph with proper rotation and late life. Good student. Named to Junior National Top Prospect List.
