Tyrone Tubbs is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from New Orleans, LA who attends De La Salle HS. Large frame with athletic build; strong lower half. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.30 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, easy effort delivery with good continuous tempo, uses lower half well, arm is loose and works well up to high three quarters slot, fastball worked 83-85 mph and did a good job of creating plane. Worked to both sides of the plate with fastball, showed tight slider with good bite, projects to miss bats. Hits from even-based stance with wrapped start, shifts well in lower half and gets off backside, good bat speed, can get overrotated in torso, good strength off the barrel when on time. Worked out at first base and showed good mobility and athleticism, quality arm strength across the diamond clocked up to 89 mph. Very good student, signed with Prairie View A&M.
