Aaron Brooks is a 2017 RHP/SS with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Blanchard, OK who attends Blanchard HS. Large, athletic frame with a lean, projectable and quick-twitch frame, square shoulders with high waist. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, works from a short and quick arm action through the back coming to high three-quarters arm slot. High leg lift with slight pause before drive, leg lift and hand break in sync, works on top of the ball and fills lower quadrants, slightly upright at release. Fastball shows short running life to arm side, topped at 87 mph and maintained velocity, worked fastball to either side of plate. Curveball consistency continued to improved, developed into swing and miss offering at 72 mph with sharp break and late bite, 12-6 shape. Projects well with physical strength and continued incorporation of lower half. Verbal commitment to Oklahoma. Named to National Underclass South Top Prospect List. Very good student.
