Brandon Tucker is a 2019 OF/2B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Louisville, KY who attends St. Xavier HS. Lean, athletic build with quick-twitch muscle, projectable frame with room to fill throughout, good energy and up-tempo movements. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with quick footwork, high lead arm with a full arm action on throws, gets on top well and shows accuracy to the ball, good carry and arm strength when top, additional gather with lower half will continue to improve arm strength. Similar high energy actions in the infield with a full arm stroke, moves well up the middle, extra steps at release, nice quickness to arm with a sound first step. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread and even stance in the box, shows balance and a high leg lift trigger at the start of swing. Contact approach at the plate, works the middle of the field and shows a lien drive swing plane. Hands stay tight to body through swing, creates line drive contact when on time the barrel, moves well down the line with quick feet. Very good student.
