Kevin Matos is a 2020 RHP/2B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Slender young middle infielder's build. Gets tall over the rubber with a high front side lever, deep arm action in back coming to a high 3/4's arm slot, long stride down the mound, some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, has nice running and sinking life in addition to some downhill angle. Showed feel for both secondary pitches; change up has nice fading action and plenty of deception, curveball has some downer depth and good tightness. Can improve his delivery consistency but is around the strike zone and competes hard while mixing his pitches. Good student.
