Brody Maypother is a 2018 C/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Wall, NJ who attends Wall. Medium frame with solid, athletic present frame; very good projection remaining on body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.57 seconds. Sets up to hit with tall, upright stance; very open at front hip with high back elbow set. Small stride into contact, fires barrel on time consistently and shows quality bat speed into a line drive swing plane. Shows solid carry off the barrel, especially to the pull field, projects for more power at physical maturity as well. Worked out defensively behind the plate, receives well, transfers low near midsection, gains some ground forward, deeper arm action with some whip through release, consistently accurate around the bag on throws, popped as low as 2.13 seconds. Good student.
