Alex Freeland is a 2020 SS/2B/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends Mariner. Solid athletic build with good present strength and the room for plenty more. Switch-hitter, better at present from his more practiced left side, has an easy low effort swing left handed swing with plenty of raw bat speed, hitter's hands with good leverage at contact and very good sequencing, works gap to gap with the ability to turn on the ball when pulling. More of an all fields/high contact approach from the right side. 7.17 runner in the sixty, has good hands in the infield and makes accurate throws with good footwork, comfortable charging the ball with a quick lower release.
