Dexter Vinson is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends Berea HS. Has a lean, athletic build, room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.54 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively behind the plate. Side set with some flexibility, comes forward into reception and receives well, shows footwork through mechanics into release, threw up to 68 MPH down to second base and popped as low as 2.29 seconds. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a deep hand set and weight shifted on his backside. Has a slight hand drop load and a leg lift trigger. Has a full swing, stays loose throughout. Has an opposite field approach, keeps his hands inside the baseball. Developing strength in swing, Excellent student.
