Cory Acton is a 2018 3B/MIF/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Fort Lauderdale, FL who attends American Heritage HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, has very quick hands, stands close to the plate and challenges pitchers to come inside, gets the barrel to the ball and hits hard line drives to all fields, more gap power at present. 6.88 runner, has good arm strength and carry across the diamond, has good hands, solid third base tools but it would be interesting to see if he could play second base at the same level. Hitting ability is his carrying tool. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.
