Cole Cardey is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Arlington HS. Athletic broad shouldered build, long arms, projectable in all regards physically. Simple side step delivery, good drive to the plate, will pull off his front side at times and fall to the first base side. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, gets good arm side running and sinking action. Nice curveball when he gets out front with it, 12/6 downer shape and good depth with biting action, will get on the side of the pitch at times. Rare change up with slight fading action, developing pitch. Flashed very lively stuff with good locations but delivery and release not consistent yet. Should continue to improve. Verbal commitment to San Diego.
