Zach Flattmann is a 2017 1B/C with a 5-10 225 lb. frame from Natchez, MS who attends Cathedral Unit HS. The primary first basemen has a strong build and is a below average runner. Projects as a corner infielder or catcher. On the infield has good fielding technique, good first step to the ball, made good double play feeds to second base. At the plate he has an open stance, holds hands below the shoulder and close to the body. Toe tap triggers stride separation to the ball, works up to the ball, line drives to all fields while showing more strength to pull side. Outstanding student.
