2014 Caribbean Underclass Showcase
Juan Cruz is a 2016 OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from San Lorenzo, PR who attends Caguas Military Academy. Younger, slender frame with solid athleticism and room to add strength. Raw arm strength is still developing from the outfield, but shows athletic actions and releases from a lower arm slot. Makes accurate throws. Bats right-handed, works from a low hand set and takes a minimal stride. Has a small leg kick trigger and a simple approach. Has a short swing path and knows how to use the opposite field. Very good student.
