Mason Barnett is a 2019 RHP/2B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from White, GA who attends Cartersville HS. Big and strong build, especially in the lower half. Back turn delivery, gets back on line well, has some energy through release but repeats well. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight, maintained his velocity well and throws his fastball to spots. Showed good feel for his secondary pitches, gets over his curveball well and creates eye changing depth. Showed feel for his change up and picked up a strike out with one. Soft slider with some two-plane shape. Has the ability to mix his pitches and get hitter's timing off. Very good student, verbal commitment to Auburn.
